Need folks for District Demo endorsement meetings

Attached is a schedule and notes regarding the several District Democratic Party endorsement meetings in Seattle. Because they often will distribute an endorsement ballot to all voters in their district, it is important that we get formal endorsements from each district organization.

At this time we have all the Districts covered in terms of a presentation. But these issues are always contentious at endorsement meetings. We can definitely use your support. So please check the schedule and go to your own district meeting. Thank you.

Thanks for getting the ball rolling on this. I am in the 46th, so I can speak at that one. We are also setting up the Speaker's bureau, to make sure we have a good roster of speakers for events like this.

As a general rule the District will allow two speakers on an issue - so we really don't need more than two people there. They should have literature to hand out before hand. We should confirm with our contact that we will be there prior to each meeting. Generally it will be an open call for the supporters to speak but that is not always the case.

I was told the actual endorsement meeting is in September. It never hurts to be at an earlier meeting to hand out literature and talk to folks. That always helps in building momentum for the endorsement and for the campaign.
