While our neighborhood is quite well served with parks and green space, it is nice to see $450,000 in funding for the Seward Park playground.

Nearby projects include $950,000 for the Children's Play Garden, $5 million for the Jefferson Park lidding project and $1 million for a skate park there, $250,000 for Othello Park safety improvements, $2.1 million for Genessee Playfield improvements, $600,000 for Rainier Playfield improvements, and acquisition funding for green space in the North Rainier Valley urban village.

Plus, with $2 million for community gardens (including Rainier Valley), $3.5 million for habitat restoration (like the Cheasty Greenbelt), and a $15 million opportunity fund, there's a lot to like for all Seattle's neighborhoods!
