Re street ends: I submitted a list of Salmon Bay street-end opportunities to Cedar River during the levy committee process. Was told that the one the make the final list of examples of possible projects, 20th Ave NW, was chosen due to input from Friends of Street Ends. FOSE has been working w/ SDOT's street ends program on a plan for shoreline street ends, and is hosting a mtg. 5:30-7:30pm Oct. 2 at the University Branch library to prioritize projects. for now, we could put the projects named on the list a potential projects, but it should be noted that they are just that.
The 7th Elect site is shorthand for the recently purchased 39,000 square ft. former 7th Elect Church in Israel property at 7028 9th Ave NW in the Whittier Heights neighborhood of Ballard. Others have commented that "7th Elect" sounds kinda odd, so I've been calling it 7th Heaven myself, while others are simpling calling it the New Park on 9th. It hasn't gone through Parks' naming process, so I thought it would be safer to use the name of the former use for now.
